As we enter the last part of 2021 and reflect on the past year, thoughts of happiness, heartaches, accomplishments, moments of learning, people lost and gained, laughs and love, and so much more. Whatever this year has brought to you, I hope as the holiday season goes on you can be grateful for your journey.
November is the month of gratitude and the month to be thankful and as I look back on my 2021 year and reflect on the journey I have had, along side my family I am extremely grateful for them. To say my family is my strength is quite cliche, yet it is so true! There is nothing like the motivation given to you by the ones you care for most, the motivation to be better every single day and continue to try your hardest. I am thankful for my home and the memories it has hosted for myself and the ones I love. Thankful for my health and my family’s health. For the new relationships I have gained this year, and grateful for those I have had. For all the experience I have gained. The opportunities that I have had the chance to take, each one providing its own lesson. One moment that stood out the most for this year was the moment my son saw the Caribbean sea, for the first time. His reaction was priceless. He was speechless, which does not happen often, and though it was just a moment it will last a life time, something we will think back on often. What was your most thankful moment of 2021?
I have had many moments of celebration and some of doubt, moments where I didn’t do my best and felt like a failure, but over time I have learned to view those times as a learning moment not a fail, a way to learn from what did not work for me. There is no such thing as failure, only feedback. Despite this, I am so thankful for my journey thus far for every single moment. Not everyday will be easy and it is hard to see the positive side, especially during difficult times, but through the month of November I encourage you to reflect on every moment and find the reasons to be thankful. If you do this every day you can create habits even after November has ended.
When you think of the words thankful, grateful, what comes to mind? Who comes to mind?
Happy Holidays!
