Happy November…. And Thanksgiving!

Happy November all, can you believe it is already November and just one month until 2022. I for one, can not, this year has flown bye!

November, and this time of year is my favorite for so many reasons; the weather changes and cools down, the colors are so beautiful and the holidays. Thanksgiving being one of them! Which just happens to be my most favorite holiday! The time you get to spend with family, and of course the food, you just can’t beat it. What is your favorite holiday? Why?

Thanksgiving for my family is quite busy, as I am sure it is with many other families. I personally have my family, my in-laws and my husbands aunts side, we are very fortunate to spend time with all of our loved ones. However, it can be somewhat overwhelming and feel like we spend majority of the day on the road than at the table with loved ones, does this sound familiar? What has worked for my family and is now a tradition is holding two Thanksgiving dinners, lucky us! We visit the in laws on Thanksgiving and spend Friday, also known as Black Friday with my family. It has worked well for us and has helped us spend more valuable time with every one we love. Time with a purpose. This means the world to me, to gather around a table or living room and just enjoy one another, share stories, memories and love. There is no greater value, especially around the holidays. Another tradition in my family is the round robin, you start with the host and work around the table and each person shares something they are thankful. It is so great to hear from everyone and what they value. Even the children share, it is so heartwarming to see love from a child’s’ view.

We can not forget the Thanksgiving dinner and desserts. Aside from the delicious turkey, stuffing is by far the best side! How about you? What is your plate stocked with? Every year, I love bringing the most festive desserts to dinner, and every year they are go so quickly.

Why do you love Thanksgiving? Or why not? What traditions have been in your family for as long as you can remember and what new traditions are do you have?

Happy November and Happy Holidays!
